Columbus Guarini Scholarship

The Honorable Frank Guarini, former CCF Board Member and Chair of John Cabot University's Board of Trustees, made a generous donation to the Columbus Citizens Foundation from which John Cabot University students may be awarded scholarships.


  • Be a study abroad student planning to attend John Cabot University for 1 semester or 2 consecutive semesters
  • Be a United States Citizen/Resident of same status
  • Be at least 25% Italian descent
  • Maintain at least an 85% or 3.0 overall academic average
  • Demonstrate financial need. Total annual family income cannot exceed $200,000.


Students interested in receiving the Columbus Guarini Scholarship must submit an application online and the required supporting documents to the Columbus Citizens Foundation as instructed in the application. A committee reviews and evaluates the applications and will select semi-finalists for a mandatory interview.

Approximately one month after interviews, applicants will be notified by email of the committee’s decisions for scholarship finalists.

STEP 2: Submit all required supporting documents listed in the application directly to Columbus Citizens Foundation Scholarship Department (by email at or fax at 212-517-7619) by the application deadline, which has been extended to August 1.
